Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary Continental/cooked-to-order/buffet breakfast each morning. Il Gattopardo - Inspired by the Visconti movie of the same name, this restaurant is located on the third floor and has light wood paneled and cream painted walls with complementing fabrics in cream and brown. A small reception area leads to a wooden floored bar area, dark wood tables and easy chairs, with complimentary newspapers for guests to read. The restaurant is decorated with cream wash wooden furniture, with a terrace available for the warmer months. As the name suggests, this is an Italian restaurant, serving a la carte and table d’hote lunch and dinner menus. It is often used for business lunches by both guests and outside visitors. Bistrot Le Café - Located at the far end of the lobby and decorated with black tables and chairs, this café serves a buffet, Continental or a la carte breakfasts, a buffet lunch during the week with Portuguese cuisine from a different region each day as well as salads, international dishes and a range of desserts. Bistrot Le Bar - Located next to Bistrot Le Café, this informal bar area is decorated in both light and dark woods with chairs and tables as well as more sofas to slump into whilst listening to the pianist who plays every evening.

What to expect: Guests arriving at the modern high-rise hotel, clad in blue mirrored glass and towering over the Amoreiras district, are greeted by a uniformed porter. Automatic revolving doors lead into the lobby and reception area with marble floors, mirrored and marble columns, antique furniture, gilt-framed art, several seating areas with dark wood and upholstered sofas and chairs, and a flamboyant staircase with black and gold banisters. At the far end is the Bistrot Café and Bar, where business people meet and visiting families enjoy a drink together. Amenity highlights: As well as 18 meeting rooms, which cater for up to 400 delegates in theater style, the hotel has a dedicated business center, complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas, and a VIP lounge with express check-in and out for guests staying in Tower Rooms and Suites. Insider tip: Just down the hill is the Praca do Marques de Pombal, named after the man who rebuilt the city following the devastating earthquake of 1755. Next to it is Parque Eduardo VII, named after the King of England who visited the city shortly before the inauguration in the early 20th century.
